West Virginia Flood Supply Delivery
Delivered donated supplies to the Lewis County Distribution Center and Elmore Volunteer Fire Department; worked with volunteers to unload and organize aid for flood-affected communities.
Preparing the supply run
A July 25, 2026 appeal sought water, cleanup tools, baby supplies, and fuel support for flood-affected West Virginia communities. Long Haul Relief supplied gas and diesel cans; local donors, including a Petco store, helped make the run possible.
Delivery and volunteer work
In a July 29 firsthand follow-up, an SWRF team member described bringing supplies to the Lewis County Distribution Center. She helped unload tractor trailers and organize donations with other volunteers, then delivered supplies to Elmore Volunteer Fire Department. Her account described working with people in Weston, Buckhannon, Lewis County, Upshur County, and nearby communities.
What the follow-up confirms
The later account confirms the trip, deliveries, and hands-on distribution support. It does not state a final number of households or items served. Older collection instructions and phone numbers from the initial appeal are omitted here because they were tied to that specific trip.
